The two founders of Architects United, namely Late Abhay Sharma and Late Vijay Ghotge, are widely known and loved as Abhay and Jim in the architecture community in Pune and Maharashtra. They share a lot in common, including their birth year of 1939, having received professional education from the same prestigious institution – J.J. School of Architecture in Mumbai – and graduating together. They both established their careers in Pune, and share similar values and principles in both their professional and personal lives, as well as in their
religious beliefs.

It is no surprise that these two talented young architects, having completed their education, joined forces to create a professional organization fittingly named Architects United. The name accurately reflects their shared commitment to working together in harmony towards a common goal.

They both possessed a strong sense of ethics and professionalism, and were deeply committed to upholding their values to the fullest extent. They never compromised on their principles, regardless of the situation or circumstance.
